Everything changed for us here, in our part of Italy, at 3.36am on August 24th, 2016 when a powerful earthquake struck. It would be the first of many more to come.
During this period I traveled around the region taking hundreds of photographs documenting this immense natural disaster.
Hundreds of people died and tens of thousands were made homeless (including me).
I wrote a 13-part photo-journal about the events. Each chapter is about 5 minutes long.
Our world here has never looked the same since. It wasn’t just the landscape and the buildings that were altered permanently – it was all of us who lived through it, too.
